Seeking Sources Sought for the contractor to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, certifications, storage for supplies, and other services necessary to deliver and install materials and equipment for a Child Development Center at an undisclosed Air Force Base.



Provide and install flooring per the requirements listed below.



Requirement

-Deliver and install new flooring in approximately 23 Child Activity Rooms, 7 adult restrooms, 1 Kitchen, 6 offices, and 3 meeting areas.

-Flooring system must meet ASTM 1292 5ft critical fall height.

-Must meet NAEYC, Caring for our Children, NPPS Standards, Consumer Product Safety Commission Standards, and CDC Draft Facility and flooring transition standards.

-Each classroom will meet the ADA Standards for Accessible Design with tapered/ramped edges to prevent tripping hazards.

-All work is to meet Child and Youth Fire and Safety operational requirements of the National Fire Protection Association, (NFPA 101, 2018 Edition) and applicable DoD criteria.



Shock Absorbing Flooring System:

. Meet indoor playground guidelines set by US Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC)

. Meet ASTM F 1292 and ASTM F 2373 at minimum 3 feet critical fall height with transition not to exceed 1/12 inch

. Meets ABA requirements

. Impact-absorbing mat/padding system

. Contains anti-microbial properties

. Solution dyed

. Integrated moisture barrier

. CRI Green Label

. Contains zero VOC’s

. Conventional cleaning process

. Integral wall base system

. Manufacturer’s representative shall be on site during application





The following criteria will be used for the hard surface flooring installed:

. The Mondo Sheet Rubber

. 7mm Cushioned Rubber Flooring (Activity Rooms)

. 55” wide sheet goods

. Meet ASTM D-2240 standards for Rubber Property (Durometer Hardness)

. Slip resistance standards shall meet or exceed ASTM D-2047 static coefficient of friction of 0.8

. Homogenous composition meeting ASTM F-1860 requirements

. 3 layer construction – rubber performance layer, Load Dispersion Layer, and comfort layer

. Minimum 10 year Limited Warranty

. Require minimal maintenance – no waxing or bleach

. Heat Welding Rod recommended for water tight installations

. Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certified





. Resilient Wall Base

Minimum 10 cm (4”) high rubber base

- Cove base shall be installed at hard flooring locations where integral base is not installed

- Straight base shall be installed at all carpet areas





. Resilient Adhesives

- Water-based Acrylic adhesive

- Low VOCs

- No special ventilation requirements

- No Flash Point

- Contains no ingredients above the OSHA minimum reporting threshold listed by IARC, NTP, or OSHA
