The Rocky Mountain Research Station (RMRS), Fort Collins Biogeochemistry Lab – Fort Collins, CO intends to issue a firm fixed price, sole source award to Long Building Technologies, 5001 S. S. Zuni St. Littleton, CO 20120 for Munters Indirect Evaporative Cooling (IEC) Diagnostics.

This procurement is being conducted under FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). The Rocky Mountain Research Station requires various troubleshooting and IEC diagnostics on Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Systems at the Biogeochemsity Lab. As these repairs require the integration and communication with the existing proprietary HVAC control system which is produced Munters, only Munters authorized technicians may work on/diagnose issues with this unit as it is proprietary to the manufacturer. Long is the only authorized technician in this geographic region for this unit and therefore only Long can perform this work and is therefore authorized under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).

The anticipated award date is December 15, 2022. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 238220 and the size standard is $16,500,000.00. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement was based market research. A solicitation will not be issued. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
