Description

This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for quotes. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO, 80523.





Colorado State University will provide the following continuation of services:





Housing and caring for bats in an appropriate environment. Bats shall be housed in a cage-free flight room with roosting areas, fed a diet consistent with the American Zoological Associate fruit bat standards, maintained according to the Animal Welfare Act standards and the standards set forth in the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals in an AALAC accredited facility. CSU’s Laboratory Animal Resources shall provide daily husbandry and veterinary care.





The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C.1901 (a) (1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES.
