Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting

A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held at the Boulder County Jail, 3200 Airport Road, Boulder, CO 80301, on March 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.

Bids from firms not represented and signed in at the mandatory, pre-bid meeting, and site visit will not be accepted.

Purpose/Background

Boulder County is seeking bids for the portion of electrical gear on the exterior of the Alternative Sentencing Facility, which will include the main CT cabinet, main disconnecting cabinet, and full-size transfer switching cabinet. Please see the specifications and drawings at the end of this document. There will be a different electrical contractor responsible for all construction of the new build, contractor unknown at this point. The generator is already in Boulder County’s possession.

There will be some on-site start up with the transfer switch and acceptance testing.

Looking for bids from Eaton or GE gear only. No substitutes.

Written Inquiries

All inquiries regarding this BID will be submitted via email to the Boulder County Purchasing Office at purchasing@bouldercounty.org on or before 2:00 p.m. March 22, 2023. A response from the county to all inquiries will be posted and sent via email no later than March 28, 2023.

Submittal Instructions

BIDs are due at the email box only, listed below, for time and date recording on or before 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time on March 31, 2023. A bid opening will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. via email by sending a copy of the bid tab to all who have submitted a bid. Vendors must answer whether line-item pricing information submitted with a bid is confidential or closely held.
