This is a SOLICITATION NOTICE. Proposals are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Mizpah Campground Aquatic Organism Passage (AOP) Construction project. The purpose of this contract is to construct an aquatic organism passage (AOP) to restore access to Mizpah Campground. The work for this contract includes all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment for the installation of an AOP, to include but not limited to:
- Install traffic control signs and close National Forest System Road 250.
- Install the stream-flow diversion system.
- Design, Excavate and Construct the footings.
- Construct the channel bed and banks within the structure.
- Supply and install the precast box culvert.
- Remove stream-flow diversion system and return flow to the channel.
- Install structural backfill and embankment.
- Place surface aggregate.
- Install object markers.
- Remove signs and re-open National Forest System Road 250.
- Seeding, planting, and final site work.
- Fell and place dead trees on upstream floodplain

Project Location: Mizpah Campground is located approximately 6 miles west of Empire, Colorado, along US-40. The project location is located on NFSR 250, approximately 360 feet south of US-40.
In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
