The White River National Forest is soliciting proposals from interested parties for a concession special use permit to operate and maintain a variety of Government-owned recreation facilities. The prospectus offers 47 campgrounds, 5 group campgrounds, 14 day use sites (some offering fishing and boating sites), and 5 optional sites that include day use, overlooks, designated dispersed campsites, and a cabin rental. The new special use permit will be issued to the selected applicant. The existing special use permit for the current concessionaire expires December 31, 2023.

Guided tours will not be facilitated by the Forest, but applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the sites before submitting an application. The Forest will host a 2-hour virtual session July 7, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (MST) for a Question and Answer (Q&A) meeting with all interested parties.
