This is a non-personal services contract to provide corporate level training on glacier, and avalanche safety, alpine, rock, and ice climbing and considerations, backcountry ski touring, and planning methodology, rescue and rescue systems used during Military Mountaineering Operations (MMO). The level of proficiency in the employment of skills taught will evolve using best practices to further develop the service member’s (SM) professional capabilities for application during all phases of SOF mountaineering operations at various elevations and weather conditions. Training will support 17–45 personnel in the vicinity of Colorado Springs, CO, and alternate training sites suitable to conduct prescribed training where vendor has legal authorization.
Service provider will mentor, prepare, and test SM on Alpine, summer, and winter skills on a glide path of professional development. Single Pitch Instructor course with examination, Alpine mentorship, Multi-pitch Rock mentorship, American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) Rec 1, 2, Backcountry ski mentorship, and Ice climbing mentorship.
Period of Performance: March 18, 2024 to March 17, 2025 w/ four option years
