REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in, and the resources to support this requirement for Elevator Maintenance and Repair Services for the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMRVAMC). The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 238290 Other Building Equipment Contractors.

This is a request for information and sources only, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation! This is not a solicitation. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for full maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair services, as well as inspections testing, and emergency/non-emergency call back services on Government-Owned Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) elevators at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center, 1700 N. Wheeling St. Aurora, CO 80045.
The contract shall be effective for a Base period of one (1) year, with the Government having the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods.
The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, professional expertise, vehicles, tools, materials, services, equipment and quality control to perform elevator preventative maintenance, emergency repairs and assist a third-party contractor in the semi-annual, annual and five-year load test/inspections for all 49 elevators and dumbwaiters within the Rocky Mountain Regional VAMC. There are ten (10) hydraulic elevators and 39 traction elevators to be included in this requirement. Preventative maintenance will be accomplished weekly. Contractor shall inspect, test, calibrate and service the equipment, as required, in accordance with manufacturer, industry and statutory requirements in order to prevent premature equipment failures and to extend equipment life in accordance with the Scope of Work (SOW) and applicable codes.

BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION, and multiple awards MAY be made.
