Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT INQUIRY
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is seeking information and sources that can provide automated Blood Culture equipment, reagents, and supplies for the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMRVAMC).

Contractor shall provide an automated analytical testing system, software, reagents, supplies, and comprehensive maintenance for contractor-owned equipment used for microorganism infection detection at a firm-fixed price that includes the following:

Extensive bacteria detection and identification in blood for both aerobic and anaerobic conditions
Mycobacterium detection and identification in blood and other fluids
Antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) for Gram-positive, Gram-Negative bacteria, and mycobacterium
Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) system
Adjustable, audible alarm for notification of microorganism growth
Remote instrument monitoring
Aerobic, anaerobic, and mycobacterium collection bottles that are plastic, not glass
High volume testing capabilities
Software with ability to integrate with AST system, Data Innovations, Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA), and Cerner
Advanced software that has tracking features for monitoring: contamination, multi-drug resistant organisms (MDRO), flexible antibiogram, positivity rate, susceptibility, turn around time and real-time monitoring of system and results
