Snow Removal of the Down Valley Park Parking Lot, Placerville Park Bathroom Parking Lot, and Placerville Schoolhouse Parking Lot

Introduction San Miguel County Parks and Open Space is seeking proposals from experienced snow removal professionals to conduct plowing of the Down Valley Park Parking Lot, Placerville Park Bathroom Parking Lot, and Placerville Schoolhouse Parking Lot. The successful applicant shall include pricing per plow/hour. The proposal should include a breakdown of a per plow, and a per-hour labor rate with the estimated time and equipment to complete each site. All proposals should include snow removal specifications for storm trigger depth, other special conditions, holiday and weekend exceptions, and any pricing that may differ for special “on call” plowing requests from the County.

Scope of Services

1. Snow Removal of the Placerville Park (See Attachment 1)

• Located at 400 Front St, Placerville.
• Removal of snow from the Schoolhouse parking area.
• Removal of snow from the park bathroom parking area.
• Deposit snow in designated areas on maps depicted in attachment 1.

2. Snow Removal of the Down Valley Park (See Attachment 2)

• Located at 22855, CO Hwy 145, Placerville 81430.
• Remove all snow from the entrance throughout the gravel lot.
• Remove snow from in front of the dumpster next to the shop.
• Deposit snow in designated areas on the map depicted in attachment 2

Other Requirements for this Project

If additional time is needed for snow removal, due to a big storm or upon request, then the hourly rate will stay consistent. Labor and snow removal equipment is to be provided by the contractor. All extra materials requested by the contracting party are to be provided by the contractor and billed to the contracting party. Payment for snow removal will be on a monthly basis.

Agreement for Services

If selected, the contractor shall review and agree to an Independent Contractor Agreement prior to beginning work. This contract defines the project, the terms, and the services to be performed. This is a legal document between the contractor and San Miguel County. Information Required for RFP Submittal

• Name of firm and complete contact information.
• A general statement of qualifications.
• Outline a general start/end date of the Scope of Services for the 2023 / 2024 season.
• Fees for all services described in the Scope of Services and Requirements.
• Storm trigger depth and any other stipulations.

Submission Deadline: Bids must be received no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, December 8th. Bids must be submitted to Greg Pollio (see below) either via mail, carrier, email, or physically dropped off by the RFP submission deadline.
