The City of Steamboat Springs is looking for a white chipper truck with a regular size cab and high chip body, with hydraulic dumping capabilities. The preferred chassis is a Ford F550 or Ram 5500. This vehicle will be used on Emerald Mountain fire roads, as well as city streets; therefore, it must have 4x4 capabilities and increased ground clearance. This vehicle must not exceed 19,501 GVWR. This vehicle must have towing capacity of at least 7,000 lbs and a class 5 Pintle 2 5/16” combination hitch, in order to tow the chipper. Preferably, the vehicle will have a rear pruner box, access ladder, and backup camera. An option to install on scene lights will be necessary as well.
