PROJECT SCOPE
The Town of Vail is a mountain resort community in Colorado at 8150 ft. in elevation with 4.5 square miles of land area. The town comprises 583 acres of open space, approximately 20% of total land area and is home to an abundance of wildlife species and diverse ecosystems. Given the increasing state-wide human population, increases in recreation, and ongoing development, the region’s flora and fauna are continuously stressed as we balance economic growth opportunities with the goal of maintaining and enhancing ecosystem health.
