The Project

The purpose of this project is to install custom fabricated components for the Gore Creek Interpretive Program. The components are located at six “stations” along the Gore Valley Trail paved recreation path. The pre-fabricated components include irregular gabion baskets, aluminum informational panels/signs, sighting tubes/scopes and small steel or bronze sculptures. Components will be fabricated by out-of-state fabricators and shipped to the Vail Public Works facility. The anticipated delivery date of interpretive elements is on or around April 1, 2024.

This work for this project will include site preparation work including the installation of gravel viewing pads, concrete footings, installation of gabion baskets, minor grading and reseeding. Upon delivery of interpretive elements from fabricator (CREO - interpretive fabrication firm) provision and installation of specified cobble into the baskets, installation of viewing scopes, installation of aluminum interpretive panels, and installation of small bronze sculptures.
